The value of a university is how it relates to the society’s needs, to the quality assurance regarding the preparing of specialists in various areas of activity, as well as to the performance of research activities and scientific development. This paper illustrates the application of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the relative efficiency of public universities in Romania. The results of this study show that DEA application to assess relative efficiency among public universities in a certain country is a reliable approach by providing quantitative indicators for comparative analysis.

The main aim of this article is to achieve a synthesis of the situation caused by musculoscheletal pain disorders, with a focus on the low back pain (Lower Back Pain), cost, implications, and to what extent complementary approaches can be an aid în order to meet the empowerment of individuals, their families, society and în effect of reducing the number of deceased persons due to the negative effects produced by drugs. This synthesis is based on the data published în the U.S., the data found for Romania and Europe are inadequate and irrelevant în order to draw a conclusion. At the beginning of last century, Romania was one of the richest European countries, among the first 10 countries that have introduced the car since its inception.

It presents the first transport vehicles in Romania dates back to 1895 are represented by two hybrid trucks with steam. „The Karaso” Simplon exotic convertible is a car made in Resita, in the style roadsters from the 50s. Vintage cars are not just cars, they can be considered on its own history on wheels, ideal combination for nostalgic times in which power was aesthetics, elegance and refinement. The oldest car in the west is a nice Ford Model A, 1928. The tradition left by the big names in automotive construction must be respected, promoting the work of some young Romanian students from technical universities and their achievements: University „Ovidius” in Constanta, Technical University „Gh. Asachi” University and University of Pitesti.

Many important inventions are known to authors who have not achieved them, or inventing their primacy being given to others. In the absence of laws on copyright, missing which led to the bankruptcy of producers who did not could recover the investment, if inventors wrong in most cases it comes down to recognition late, to a mere „making aware „of inventions attributed incorrectly. The five famous theoretical works published by Albert Einstein in 1905 had a profound effect on the development of modern physics.

The work on the phenomenon called the photoelectric effect will bring Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921 (reason premiers: „Research in theoretical physics and the discovery of the photoelectric effect”).

Albert Einstein (b. March 14, 1879, Ulm – d. April 18, 1955, Princeton) was a theoretical physicist ethnic Hebrew, born in Germany, stateless since 1896, Swiss 1899, emigrated in 1933 in the US, naturalized American in 1940, professor at Berlin and Princeton. He was the author of relativity theory and one of the most brilliant scientists of mankind. In 1921 I was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Send famous letter to US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, stressing the need to atomic bomb production, as there is the possibility that the German government to use this plan. Einstein’s letter helped precipitate the efforts to obtain the atomic bomb in the United States. It should be noted, however, that Einstein had no direct personal role in its manufacture, after expressing his indignation regarding the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

It shows various mysteries personal life of the famous scientist, who apparently was at least as complicated and full of oddities as the theory that revolutionized the world of science. It is shown that Einstein’s famous formula, E = mc2 has finally been established, thanks to a team effort of physicists from France, Germany and Hungary.

This short paper outlines the role of education in human relationships, but mostly the one between Lucian Blaga and Dorin Pavel. The biographies of the two Romanian personalities help us realise how intellectual training gets developed within a lifetime. Dorin Pavel was Lucian Blaga’s nephew and he was born on May 31, 1900 in Sebes, as the son of a schoolteacher named Ion Pavel and his wife, Letiţia. In 1935 he became a professor at the Polytechnic University in Bucharest. On the other hand, Lucian Blaga was born on May 9, 1895 in Sebes, as the son of a priest. He became a poet and a philosopher.

Deși ne vorbise în cursurile sale de utilizarea apelor în scopuri multiple și încă din 1956 fusese numit membru în Comitetul de Stat al Apelor și, în această calitate, participa la ședințele consiliului tehnic al apelor care aviza toate proiectele comitetului, Dorin Pavel nu s-a implicat deloc în activitățile legate de elaborarea planurilor de amenajare pe bazine hidrografice sau ale schemelor de amenajare legate de amenajările hidrotehnice. Explicația probabilă este faptul că în anii 1960 dezvoltarea economică a României permitea să se treacă la realizarea simultană a unui număr important de lucrări hidrotehnice și devenea necesară o selecție a lucrărilor la care colabora. Chiar dacă a avut o contribuție foarte importantă ca consultant pentru diferite proiecte, Dorin Pavel dorea să fie implicat direct în toate fazele de realizare a lucrărilor: proiectare, urmărirea execuției și recepția lucrărilor, nu în elaborarea unor referate de expertiză. De aceea, el a ales să se dedice în special construcției de centrale hidroelectrice, meserie pe care și-o alesese încă din tinerețe, iar dintre acestea a selecționat cele care îl atrăgeau în mod deosebit: cele de pe Sebeș, care era râul copilăriei sale pentru care avea o slăbiciune deosebită, cele de pe Lotru, pe care le descrie ca prezentând un record mondial de complexitate, depășind-o pe cea a sistemului Grande Dixence și centrala Porțile de Fier de pe Dunăre.

În perioada în care eram studenți, fiecare dintre noi am avut profesori, care ne-au inițiat în tainele profesiei pentru care ne pregăteam și le datorăm tuturor recunoștință pentru cunoștințele pe care ni le-au dat. Dar sunt profesori care, pe lângă aceste cunoștințe, ne-au arătat și modul în care trebuia să gândim în noua noastră profesie și care sunt căile pe care trebuia să le urmăm pentru a avea succese în viața noastră profesională, Această înțelegere nu ne era insuflată prin noțiunile predate la curs ci trebuia să le deslușim din personalitatea și activitatea acestor profesori. Iar, după absolvire, pe lângă aplicarea cunoștințelor pe care le acumulasem în timpul facultății, trebuia să găsim modalitățile în care să facem uz de această filosofie a meseriei, într-un viitor pe care nici noi, nici profesorii noștri, nu-l puteau defini.
