CONTRIBUTIONS REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT
OF AN AUTOMATED HYDROPONIC CULTIVATION SYSTEM
IN CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS
Abstract: The paper presents the design and implementation of
a fully automated vertical hydroponic system for seedling production in
controlled environments. By integrating an Arduino UNO board with pH,
TDS, temperature, light, and water-level sensors, the system enables
automatic monitoring and regulation of key growth parameters. Its
physical structure includes vertical PVC columns and a recirculation
circuit optimized for efficient use of resources. Experimental results
confirm the system’s stability, reliability, and scalability. The study
highlights the relevance of automation and embedded technologies in
modern agriculture and their potential to sustain productive, low-cost
hydroponic installations.
