GEOTHERMAL ENERGY EXPLOITATION IN ROMANIA
Due to the scientific breakthrough of the last century, geothermal
energy may now be used on a national, even global scale to produce both
electricity and heat. In Romania, geothermal energy is used to produce heat,
the main sources being located in the western area of the country.
