the ANALYZE of the EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATIONS OF s.i.e. PISTONS’ WEARNESS from Ford Focus
The scientific paper summarizes an experimental work on the technical task of piston wear-ness determination in the case of spark ignition engine from Ford Focus. Pistons structure and behaviour, as well as its specific configuration, material, dimensions and lubrication, in various working situations, are essential in generating the engine’s performances. In this work are highlighted the piston elements and their dimensions analyse for an in-use group of components from the Ford Focus spark ignited engine (1.6 16v Turnier/DNW/74 kW). The importance for measuring the piston diameter at different levels and directions consists in the fact of outlining its wear-ness.
