HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT OF MEDICAL ACTIVITIES
According to current legislation, waste treatment from medical
activities aimed to achieving a final product of the environment and health
friendly. The most popular method treatment of these types of waste is
incineration. As an alternative to those, it has been developed installations that
do not use incineration, and today is known different alternative medical waste
treatment, of which the most commonly used are steam sterilization,
microwaves, chemical treatment, thermal treatment (pyrolysis). The paper
makes an analysis of the most used methods; we present a hybrid treatment
installation.

FUSIBLE ALLOY USED TO MAKE CASTING PATTERNS
The main scope of the project lies in supporting the knowledge
development in the field of small series of unique parts, mainly for the
automotive industry, by producing a technology and a device for patterns
through self formation from an easily fusible alloy with basalt fibers that enable
both a rapid pass from one type of parts to another, so that the fabrication flow
can be easily changed, as well as innovative research for the achievement of a
composite material based on Bi-Sn alloy with basalt fibers with higher technical
characteristics.

The aim of this paper is the description of certain issues related to the
obtaining of new materials with special characteristics over those already
normal and also the interest to obtain economically profitable materials has
become more ample.
The technology used to obtain the Al- Basalt composite through casting
and also sintering consists in obtaining the compatibility of basalt in the
aluminum based metallic matrix and obtaining the agglutination between
aluminum powders and basalt particle in the most efficient conditions.

WITH CONTROLLED PROPERTIES
The paper herewith presents results gotten in research on getting of new
composite materials as well as procedure of achieving such. Orientation of steel
powders into the ceramic mass is done in magnetic field during process flows of
pressing concomitantly with a supplementary operation, vibration. Stiffening of
compacts takes place during sintering. The fiber model gotten in composite is like the
one achieved by metallic fibers.
