USING WASTES IN BUILDING MATERIALS
Using waste (especially those of organic nature) are a success for
both construction and environment. In previous experiments cork waste does
not undergo thermal or physical and chemical transformations, only a simple
shredding process. Thus, the shredded cork is inserted in the concrete mixture,
partly replacing the aggregate. By means of this recycling process, a major
objective for sustainable development is confirmed – improving environmental
quality.
