NOTES ON THE INFLUENCE OF SPEED FIELD ON
THE GEOMETRY OF HORIZONTAL AXIS WIND TURBINES
Unlike hydraulic turbines, wind turbines operate ”in open apparatus”.
Thus, the field of velocities and pressures has direct influence on the operation
of the turbine. The paper presents an analysis of the influence of the speed
field on the geometry of the blades of horizontal axis wind turbines.
