COMPLEX PERSPECTIVES OF THE EQUIPMENT EVALUATION INDICATORS
The paper examines the Overall equipment effectiveness – (OEE) and “Asset utilization (AU)” indicators. Although their computational relationships are known, a deeper understanding of each term is needed in order to obtain a profoud knowledge about the production system and also to know how information is collected and used in a company. It is also useful to appreciate the agility level of the production flow by analyzing the OEE values. This knowledge allows managers to make accurate and constructive decisions.
