STUDY ON IMPROVING TRAFFIC PARAMETERS AT AN INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF SIBIU
This paper presents different aspects that must be considered during the reconfiguration of agglomerated road junctions in Sibiu. In the first part road traffic data is highlighted along with tables with traffic speed on certain road sections. The study was made with focus on the following junctions: Milea, Semaforului, Rahovei and it analyzes the number of vehicles that cross this intersection, the traffic speed, the factors that have an influence over this feature and the measures that must be taken in order to have a continuous and lean traffic flow. The service level was determinates by calculating the road traffic capacity. The intersection was reconfigured by building an underground passage that will eliminate all collision points. Further, it was reconfigured by making a roundabout above the underground passage. The conclusions emerged from the traffic parameters calculations and how this particular junction should be reconfigured in order to reduce congestion.

OVERSIZED TRANSPORT. THEORETICAL DESIGN ELEMENTS AND REAL DATA FOUND
The paper presents the difficulty of oversized transport in the European Community due to uneven rules preparation of necessary documents from country to country. These problems lead to high costs, prolonged transport, human and financial resources inefficiently used. Two oversized transport companies, one from Serbia and one from Romania, had made 43 low loaders from Croatia to Sweden, in technical and economic limits accurate. There were made pre-transport calculations related to speed, distance, fuel consumption, maintenance costs. From data collected in the field or through the tracking of trucks are highlighted differences between theoretical calculations and actual values of transport parameters.

CHOOSING A ROUTE FOR AN ABNORMAL TRANSPORT
TROUGH THE MULTI-CRITERIA ANALYSIS METHOD
Choosing the optimal route for an abnormal transport is a very difficult
problem, if there are more choices. The paper deals with the problem of
deciding the best route for the transport of some vary long traverses. The
distance – about 120 km- may be travelled in 2 ways: by highway A1 or by the
European roadway E81. The authors determined the cost for each alternative
and then considered another 4 criteria in order to perform a multi-criteria
analysis. The analysis shows that although European road involves lower
expenses, overall, highway transportation is more advantageous.

The movement of people with disabilities is limited in the city of Sibiu, because of the lack of ramps at the entrance of buildings and in the public transportation stations, the lack of specialized elevators, ledges which are too high, and in certain areas, inaccessible cross-walks. Although the level of specialized equipment meant to help people with disabilities is limited, inclining towards insufficiency, with the help of the present research paper’s contribution, as well as that of other research papers or projects focused on the same subject, we hope that this situation will improve in the not so distant future (near future). It was made a questionnaire for people with disabilities to understand their need.

ASPECTS REGARDING ACCESSIBILITY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT. PART I
To have a disability is not a matter of choice. We should be more permissive and understanding with our peers who find themselves in such a situation. In the countries which have a healthy mentality, a disability does not mean failing in life because the environment in which the people with such a problem live provides them with the necessary conditions for leading a lifestyle without tremendous difficulties. This paper presents the current condition in Romania and more narrowly, the condition in Sibiu municipality.
