Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), with low polluting
emissions, is a great alternative to replace the traditional power sources. The
fuel cell generates electric power and heat power, which can be used to feed
electrical and heat customers. This paper presents a study of the PEMFC
system.

EFFICIENCY OF PROTON EXCHANGE
MEMBRANE FUEL CELL
Fuel cells power generating systems represent a solution to replace
traditional power sources because of their high efficiency and multiple
applications. Fuel cell technology is based on the concept of direct
electrochemical energy conversion. Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel
cells show great promise for use as distributed generation sources.
