The study has pursued experimental determination of residual
stresses in the bogie Minden-Deutz that equips coaches Series 209, the
efficiency of the applied stress relieving treatment and the possibility to shift
towards the dimensional stabilization through vibrations.

THE COMPUTATION OF SHEAR DIAGRAMS, IN ACTION WITHIN STRAIGHT BEAMS, USING MATHCAD
The paper presents the program CRDEF-GGA-06 created by the author which calculates the reactions axial forces, bending moment respectively shear diagrams for straight static determinate beams.
The program CRDEF-GGA-06 is an application of MathCAD software.

THE STUDY OF THE ACTION OF THE CROSS FORCE
ON THE STRAIGHT BEAM BUCKLING IN CASE
OF BENDING STRESS
The following paper presents a study done by the author on the
straight beam buckling subjected to bending stress, by considering or
neglecting the effect of the cross force. The study was done on different forms
of the cross sections, respectively for different values of the ratio (relation)
between the height of the beam section and its length.

TUBULAR CAMSHAFT FOR INTERNAL
The current paper presents the results of the study to investigate the
possibility of replacing the conventional camshaft of an internal combustion
engine, with a hollow, tubular cross section camshaft.
In the conventional form the camshaft is stamped or forged, and made
of iron, having a full circular section. The proposed tubular camshaft is made
out of steel, and the cams are attached by shrinking-on the shaft. We have
considered three constructive variants of the tubular camshaft.
The strain state and the tensions of the classical camshaft and the
three constructive variations of the tubular camshaft were examined using the
finite element method.

CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS FOR A LAMELLAR
FORCE TRANSDUCER OF 3 kN
This paper presents the results of the study to design a lamellar force
transducer of 3 kN. We analysed and presented eight variants of the elastic
element of the transducer. All variants of the elastic element having the same
constructive dimensions. For each constructive variant we performed an
analysis of the state of stress and the state of strain using finite element
method. Choosing the best final variant was done taking into account the
variation of strains and tensions.

REUSABLE ELECTRO-RESISTIVE TRANSDUCER
This paper presents a Reusable Electro-Resistive Transducer for
measuring deformation of the structures of resistance during their operation.
The sensitivity of this sensor is close to the classical Electrical Resitance Strain
Gauge as having the same base of measurement. The proposed reusable
transducer’s advantage is that it can be reused several times at different
measuring points. In this manner, essential cost reductions are to be made to
the experimental measurements of stress and strain.

STRUCTURAL STRENGTH DESIGN AND VERIFICATION OF
AN OFF-ROAD, “BUGGY” TYPE AUTOMOBILE
Within the current paper the author presents the results of the
structural strength analysis, made for the design and verification process of an
off-road, “buggy” type automobile.
The main technical characteristics for the new lightweight automobile,
that was designed, were set by the comparative analysis of different
constructive variants of this type of automobiles that have already been made.
The structural strength of the „buggy” was verified by a calculation
using the finite element method. The paper presents the values of the strains
and displacements obtained by running the program for the loading cases that
have been considered.
