CONTRIBUTIONS TO DIAGNOSIS OF SPARK IGNITED ENGINE OF 75 KW E36 FROM BMW 316i
The present experimental research shows methods and engineering aspects concerning measuring the load signal and throttle valve operation in a diagnosis procedure for determining the problem of engine speed oscillation. Throttle valve potentiometer signal can be a proper technical data determined for operational diagnosis of the engine in some cases. That is why in this experimental paper it was experimentally determined in order to make a proper interpretation of the errors and technical problems which led to engine speed oscillation and incorrect operation. The motor vehicle was brought into the diagnosis laboratory and it was properly inspected for electric and electronic faults by using KTS and other digital equipment. In particular it was studied the oxygen sensor operation, the air mass flow meter and the throttle valve actuator (by measuring its voltage on the inherent potentiometer). The electrical schematic was also studied in order to locate the important components.

31-81 CERCETĂRI EXPERIMENTALE ALE PROBLEMELOR ÎN EXPLOATARE CU PRIVIRE LA SISTEMUL DE ÎNCĂRCARE A BATERIEI CU ACID DE LA DACIA SOLENZA

Experimental researches of the operational problems concerning the power supply system for the ACID battery from Dacia solenza

 

The present paper express in available technical terms and means of an experimental research concerning problematic aspects of the power supply system from Dacia Solenza 1.4 MPI vehicle in relation with liquid acid accumulator on board.

After cold starts of the internal combustion engine some unusual engine speed fluctuations occur which destabilize the proper operation for the first minutes in cold running of the vehicle.

The worst case scenario is when engine stops suddenly in the middle of a street junction without any previous major signs and as a bonus without any possibility to restart immediately. Analysing the power supply system and differential potential allows the researcher to gain some significant insight in the process and to develop important knowledge (as know-how) and arguments in solving the problem once and for all.

The development of present research aims toward the goal of pointing out the symptoms and problematic aspects related to the power supply and management systems on vehicle Dacia Solenza.
