QUALITY OF TRAINING PROGRAMS
Maintaining balance between the demands of changing market and
employment practices, organizations have to continually re-invest and improve
the competitive profile of human resources in their possession. While most
managers recognize the need to attract, develop and provide long-term
workforce performance and innovation, only few managers feel comfortable
when it comes to investing in people, especially when income limits have been
reduced or when market conditions became increasingly harsh and
competitive. In time of economic stagnation or recession, investment in people
is often seen as a luxury rather than as an investment. Moreover, reducing
costs is a major objective of top management, so that the budget for training is
the first shot, without taking into account possible future erosion or current
competitive advantages.
