STORAGE, ACCESS AND PROCESSING OF INFORMATION WITHIN VDR SYSTEM (VOYAGE DATA RECORDER)
Increasing maritime traffic in recent years has led to an increase in maritime accidents, especially ships collisions, some of which reported casualties between crew members.
This paper presents the methods and possibilities of storage, retrieval and processing information, format and amount of data stored and the mechanisms for their discharge within a VDR system.
In the theoretical study of storage information methods there were types of VDR systems compared by their compatibility of different storage data. This systems can be useful for investigators when they manage a maritime accident on board ships.
