This paper aims to present the present situation of the waste water treatment plant and methods to efficiency what is available to present day. Really there are many methods that may be possible but not always at the disposal of treatment plants. This is the struggle all sewage treatment faces in the continuing need to have as much money as possible to make this activity more attractive.

METHODS TO STREAMLINE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS. USING BIOGAS OBTAINED FROM SLUDGE FERMENTATION IN THERMAL PLANTS (CASE STUDY: CONSTANTA NORD WWTP)
This paper aims to present a simple way to evaluate the biogas production from the sludge resulting from the wastewater treatment process. Attention is given to three topics: the wastewater sludge fermentation and the evaluation of the biogas production with BioWatts software, but also to providing a general view of the thermal plant, the flow of the technological process and the equipment’s required to store and use the biogas as the main fuel for the thermal plant.
