DEVELOPMENT OF A CAR FIRE ÎN A ROAD TUNNEL
The article presents the work of the authors concerning the burning
test in a semi closed space involving stationary car model. One scenario
considering a fire at one car caught in a road tunnel. Taking into consideration
fully developed fire, the temperature evolution, the time for temperature
increase and smoke spread and their meaning in case of a real event. The
results give us an image about user chances of escape from an event like this,
using both physical and numerical scalarization methods.

28-27 IMPLEMENTAREA CORECTĂ A HRR DE LA INCENDII DE AUTOTURISME ÎN VEDEREA SIMULĂRII COMPUTERIZATE

PROPER IMPLEMENTATION OF CAR FIRES HRR IN COMPUTER SIMULATION PURPOSE
The article presents the work of the authors concerning establishing the HRR (heat release rate) for modern cars considering the new materials used to build them. In order to do this, large scale test were studied involving small and middle size cars, in purpose to measure the burning time and determine HRR (heat release rate) using the oxygen calorimetric method. The results obtained are compared with some others similar results and become very important for knowledge and for establishing protection measures especially for close and semi-closed spaces crossed by cars.
