33-27 A NEW METHOD OF EYELID DETECTION FOR IRIS RECOGNITION SYSTEM

O NOUĂ METODĂ DE DETECTARE A PLEOAPELOR
PENTRU SISTEMUL DE RECUNOAȘTERE A IRISULUI
This paper presents a new method for detecting the upper and lower eyelids. The method is called Refine-Connect-Smooth (R-C-S). It consists of three algorithms, Canny edge detector, Refine Edge Map (REM) and Connect and Smooth Edges (CSE). The algorithm is applied after the iris extraction stage therefore any incorrect detection of the eyelid will not decrease the accuracy of iris localization. The application of the method to CASIA database images version-1.0 has shown reasonable accuracy compared to previous methods of eyelid detection. For upper eyelid the accuracy reached 87.3%, while for lower eyelid the accuracy reached 99.2%.

PROJECTORS
Until a few years ago, projectors and multimedia projectors, were very expensive, very large and heavy and were used by very few. Progress in the industry, new high performance projectors, much cheaper and much smaller, can successfully design PowerPoint presentations or images HDTV, ideal for applications „home cinema”.
Any project, whatever technology is developed, has the same basic internal structure: a strong light source (lamp), an electronic video signal processing (PC, DVD etc.) and an optical system of projection. Descriptive, presents some technologies used in video projection: a chip DLP DMD; DMD chip DLP technology with three; Technology (D-ILA) Digital Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION CAUSED BY THE
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
Development of industry and the growth of consumption of primary
energy, causes pollution of the environment (air, water, underground blades
etc.), so this activity causes negative effects on people’s health level and on
global climate change. Of course, without electricity cannot conceive of modern
life on Earth, but humanity must realise that the use of electricity has negative
effects on the environment in the biological environment, as well as complex
built environment. It is necessary to intensify studies and researches aimed, on
the one hand, optimizing \/lowering electricity consumption, and on the other
hand, lessening the impact of electromagnetic pollution of the environment in
the bioelectro-chemical processes of nature and the corrosion reactions in
complex environments.
