THE USE OF WATER SPRAY IN FIRE FIGHTING
The intervention of fire fighting teams requires a series of activities
with the aim of limiting propagation and fire extinction. In the operational
procedures of intervention, setting distance and safety measures takes an
important place. The spray water facing the thick smoke may remove some of
its components and allow better local visibility to discover focus and act on it
directly, eliminating unnecessary water consumption. Using water spray is
important for fire safety and in terms of reducing the amount of water used.

FIRE SMOKE EXHAUST SYSTEMS AND
EQUIPMENT USED IN HOTELS
This paper present some aspects regarding fire and smoke movement
in a hotel building and which are the smoke control methods to ensure the fire
safety of the building and fire protection of its occupants. Also, will be presented
subjects as smoke and exhaust ventilation systems and equipment used in
hotels and what role ventilation plays when a fire occurs in a hotel, which are
the interaction with other fire protection systems and other building systems.
