The implementation of modern production systems has become a necessity due to global competition and aims a better response to customer requirements, improve quality, decrease delivery times and costs. This paper aims to implement Heijunka method for increasing the performance of a production process within an automotive company in Sibiu. By implementing the method desired volumes leveling to balance inventories and customer demand.

ROUTE OPTIMIZATION FOR VEHICLES USED TO TRANSPORT BALLAST TO REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION

 

Fuel consumption has become a growing problem for transport companies especially by the fact that the acquisition cost of fuel increased, transport distances were increased and the quality of roads degrades from year to year. This paper analyses the fuel consumption of the sorting station on the route to the excavation, and based on results obtained is proposed reconfiguration of the route, which will reduce the distance between the two points of interest and therefore fuel consumption.

which is monitored within an company. This paper analyzes the fuel
consumption of buses in society Tursib SA and propose a method to reduce it
by performing procedures and an experimental stand which serves to calculate
the distance between the sensor and the fuel level in the tank.

The paper presents the analyze and optimization of traffic flow in a roundabout located on the road Alba -Iulia, highway that connects central and western industrial area is very crowded especially during peak periods. Following comments from the field, calculations and numerous simulations performed with the software Synchro Studio 8 there were have proposed improvements in terms of optimizing traffic flows and changes in the geometry of the intersection to reduce delays and increase velocity.
