Contributions to applied research OF kinematic-phenomenological aspects of PISTON-rings for compression ignited engine used in agriculture and automotive industry

 

The present scientific paper synthesizes an applied work on the engineering task of piston-ring displacement modelling and simulation in the case of an internal combustion engine for agricultural application. Piston-rings configuration and displacement, as well as their particular role in the whole assembly, materials, dimensions and lubrication process, in various working cases, are quite significant in influencing the engine’s performance and economy (oil consumption and pollution). In this paper are highlighted the piston-ring displacement modelling and their critical efforts analyse for an agricultural engine, defined on the bases Lombardini tractor engine (510 ccm). The opportunity and importance of modelling the piston-rings movement at different levels and cases in the operational cycle lay on the possibility of highlighting their stresses and predict work expectancy.

31-73 CERCETĂRI EXPERIMENTALE PRIVITOARE LA DETERMINAREA CONSUMULUI EXTRA-URBAN DE COMBUSTIBIL LA RENAULT KANGOO

experimental researches concerning the extra-urban fuel consumption determination for Renault kangoo

 

The present work realizes an experimental research and analytic study of the fuel efficiency data gained in extra-urban determinations concerning the fuel consumption, vehicle average speed on the road, location and ecologic behaviour, in climate and real-time defined road conditions, with Renault Kangoo from 2007, during the frequently used track in exploitation between Cluj-Napoca and Alba Iulia cities. There was evaluated the carbon foot print and fuel efficiency measured from the initial reference point (in Cluj-Napoca) and also the economic and environmental behaviour based on the fuel supply process in the case of testing on a real-road track. The opportunity of the present research paper is given by the fact that vehicle economy and environmental behaviour during extra-urban driving operation have a significant influence on carbon impact when engaging in high speeds.

31-71 CERCETAREA EXPERIMENTALĂ A SISTEMULUI DE MANAGEMENT DE LA AUTOVEHICULUL SUV PEUGEOT 4007

experimental research of the management system FROM the Peugeot 4007

The scientific paper points out an applied approach of the actual values recorded from the engine management system. Some parameters were analyzed, related to fuel consumption, engine speed, accelerator pedal position sensor, fuel temperature, coolant temperature and intake air temperature in specific operating conditions and accelerator pedal positions, with sport utility vehicle Peugeot 4007 during the transient stage operation.

There are very few explicit researches concerning the consumption and performance in real operating situation of the Peugeot 4007.

Today are many SUVs on the streets of our nation and in EU, but there is a little interest concerning their fuel economy and environmental impact. The engine coolant and fuel temperature, besides the engine speed and accelerator pedal position have a significant influence on the engine’s economy and carbon foot-print. In this applied engineering work it is researched the fuel consumption of the engine when operating the Peugeot 4007 SUV in order to point out the influence between the accelerator in driver’s cabin, engine’ speed, other systems, fuel economy and environmental impact. The recorded data are close inspected and post-processed.

31-63 CONTRIBUȚII LA CERCETAREA EXPERIMENTALĂ A VISCOZITĂȚII ȘI DENSITĂȚII LUBRIFIANTULUI UNUI MOTOR CU APRINDERE PRIN COMPRIMARE DE LA TRACTOR ALIMENTAT CU BIOCOMBUSTIBIL

Contributions to experimental research OF lubricant viscosity and density from tractor compression ignition engine supplied with biofuel

 

The present research paper shows some of the results achieved during practical tests on the compression ignited engine of a mini-tractor for agricultural use.

The developed tests were conducted in order to point out the influence of working time, type of fuel and temperature regime on the main physical properties of the lubricant. There were monitored the viscosity and density of lubricant and of few blends between the lubricant and the supplied fuels. In the research work are also highlighted the main engine components and the test-bed infrastructure in order to facilitate further improvement and development of the procedure.

The necessity and high importance of testing the lubricant main properties, as viscosity and density, at different temperature levels and in various cases of fuel supply methods and substances in the compression ignited engine is based on the ubiquity of biofuel implementation in modern commercial fuels.

30-51 CERCETĂRI EXPERIMENTALE ALE DINAMICII VEHICULELOR TOT TEREN DE TIP CF MOTO 500-5A/L7e ÎN CAZUL TRACTĂRII REMORCII

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES OF CF MOTO 500- 5A/L7E
ATV’S DYNAMICS IN THE CASE OF TRAILER TOW
All-Terrain Vehicles are globally-spread nowadays both as entertaining
systems and as utility equipment. This paper presents a contribution to the
experimental research and graphical study of the data gained by developing a
practical protocol and methodology in order to monitor the kinematic and
dynamic parameters for three specific road surfaces, with all-terrain vehicle of
the type ATV CF MOTO 500-5A/L7e in the process of deceleration/acceleration
from different initial speed values. There were measured the braking distances
compared to the initial reference point and meanwhile were determined the
dynamic parameters of the ATV CF MOTO 500-5A/L7e during the
acceleration/deceleration process in the case of trailer towing, when a traction
force acts at the vehicle hook due to the 750 kg trailer. The opportunity of
researching this dynamic behavior is made possible by a research contract in
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, showing that the trailer inertia force is
influencing both kinematics and dynamics during driving maneuvers of braking
and accelerating, as well as different conditions during usual ATV riding.

The present paper summarize an experimental research and
comparative study of the data gained in field measurements concerning the fuel
consumption, average speed, location and economic behavior, in urban defined
road conditions and climate, with Renault Kangoo vehicle of the model year
2007 during the frequently START-STOP process in real environment engine
exploitation. There is evaluated the mileage measured from the initial reference
point and also the economic and ecologic behavior based on the fuel supply
process in the case of undertaking a specified track. The importance of the
present research is given by the fact that vehicle economy and dynamic loading
during some urban driving maneuvers have a great influence on environmental
impact when braking and taking off, also on a variety of normal situations.

RESEARCH OF ACCELERATIONS AND TRACTION
FORCES OF ALL TERAIN VEHICLES
The present paper realizes an experimental research and comparative study of the results obtained from practical measurements with regard to acceleration, deceleration, stopping distance and dynamic behaviour, in various road conditions and surfaces, with all-terrain vehicle of the type ATV 500 CF Moto during the braking process when starting at various initial speeds. It is evaluated the stopping distance measured from the initial reference point and also the dynamic behaviour of the ATV CF-Moto 500 during the acceleration/deceleration process in the case of traction force at the rear end vehicle hook due to the 750 kg trailer. The need of studying this force is in that vehicle dynamic loading during some driving manoeuvres of braking and taking off, respectively a various situations during normal riding.
