35-41 CERCETAREA OPACITĂȚII ȘI CONSUMULUI LA DACIA SANDERO 1.5 DCI FĂRĂ UN INJECTOR

RESEARCH OF OPACITY AND CONSUMPTION AT DACIA SANDERO 1.5 DCI WITHOUT AN INJECTOR

The study of opacity, in particular for Dacia Sandero 1.5 dCi compression ignited engine in two distinctive operating circumstances was developed by monitoring the exhaust emission and fuel flow with and without an injector failure. The first part of the research is focused on Sandero presentation and its relation with environmental pollution. The last improvements and optimizations of the car are conducted toward the increased performance and efficiency of the car’s operation. The opacity is one of the most important pollution aspects from compression ignited engines. Its effects on the environment are great and significant. It is also analyzed the ecological and dynamic design of the studied car. The present study makes a brief analyze of the available literature on the problem of emissions and consumption. The engine’s improvement and the optimization process should take into account the pollutant emissions and the real source. Last but not least there is a study of vehicle structure, of the common-rail injection system with specific devices for the pollutant emissions control on the investigated car. The paper also presents the applied or the practical part of the research work. In this part the most interesting aspect are the experimental data acquired during the practical measurements in operation, when it is managed the data package and the graphical representation of the results from Dacia Sandero 1.5 dCi engine. This was achieved by monitoring the variation of the exhaust opacity and the fuel consumption level in operating conditions. The study ends with conclusions, observations and predefined development directions.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE RESEARCH OF INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE COMMON-RAIL INJECTORS IN THE CASE OF 1.8 TDCI ENGINE FROM FORD FOCUS
The present research work develops a practical procedure of inspection sequence for the case of injectors and injection system as a whole to sketch the important steps required. Construction and operational analyze is also important as well as engine control parameters, main injection, temperature and symptomatic behavior, in specific conditions, but here it’s most highlighted the inspection procedure. By using injector monitoring equipment connected to the electronic control unit of the engine via digital interface. Thus are pointed out the fuel amount, fuel pressure and the injector behavior from the Ford Focus engine (1.8 TDCi Turnier/DNW/85.0 kW) with common-rail injection system. Significance and opportunity for inspecting the injectors from Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI is based on recurrence of the symptoms regarding power loss and engine problems in operation. Realizing the present paper leads to a goal of highlighting a problem related to the fuel system components as injectors from the common-rail compression ignited engine in particular working conditions.

31-68 STUDIUL ASPECTELOR SEMIOLOGICE PRIVIND HIDRAULICA SISTEMULUI DE INJECȚIE ÎN DIAGNOSTICAREA MOTORULUI 1.8 TDCI DE LA FORD FOCUS

Study of the semiologic aspects concerning the hidraulics of the injection system in diagnosing 1.8 TDCI engine from Ford Focus

 

The present paper develops an applied study of the diagnosing aspects of the injection system behaviour and component analyse as well as engine management parameters, injection quantity, fuel temperature and non-operational behaviour, in different testing situations, with engine scanning equipment connected to the electronic control module via on board connection. Here are highlighted the injection system and the injector for diesel fuel supply of the Ford Focus engine (1.8 TDCi Turnier/DNW/85.0 kW).

 

Importance for testing the injection system of the Ford Focus engine comes from the numerous vehicles that manifest the symptoms of misfiring, engine-stop, and other problems in operation. The development of present paper aims toward the goal of outlining the problem related to the fuel supply system and injectors of the compression ignited engine in some specific testing situations.
