To evaluate the wind potential for a location must be know the average
multiannual values of the weather features for her. These can be computed
based on measured values. The measurement can be performed using several
types of installations, which are initially set the time range for which the weather
feature values are averaged. In this process incidents can occur, which results
in wrong data.
The cause that generate lack of measurements data can be related to
the support pillars, installation and/or sensors and the calculation equipment,
storage and data transmission over the internet.

In the initial management of an investment for the realization of a wind
generator farm, the most important activity is the evaluation of the target area.
The evaluation has to take in to account the existence of the electrical network
to acquire electricity, the access roads for installing and further supervising of
the equipment’s, the environmental impact etc. The most important factor in
making decision is the wind potential. It is determined from measurements
using special installation and depends entirely on relief and climate, actually by
the geographic area.

FLOW OPTIMIZATION IN HYDRAULIC TURBINES BY
NUMERICAL COMPUTING METHODS
The increasing need of green energy on the daily market  leads to
the optimization of the design approach of hydraulic machinery, Kaplan and
Francis turbines as well. The required costs (test rigs and time spent) to test
experimentally the hydraulic performances of several technical solutions for a
particular model of a power plant shows that a better way would be to develop
numerical techniques for hydrodynamics optimization. This would increase the
energo-cavitational performances for the studied hydraulic models.

DETERMINATION OF WIND SPEED BASED ON
EXPERIMENTAL VALUES OBTAINED FROM
Initial phase of an investment for a wind farm must contain the exact
wind potential in the target area. Where are used to determine weather features
anemometers poles, can accurately assess the wind potential on top of the pole
and above. Using the experimental values can determine wind speed at heights
above the pole, but it is possible to check the accuracy of function required of
wind velocity with height.
