EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH OF CO2 EMISSION IN RELATION WITH FUEL LEVEL AT 1.3 ENGINE FROM SUZUKI SWIFT AT 0 °C EXTERIOR TEMPERATURE
The present applied experimental paper determines, with the latest software equipment available online, the carbon dioxide emission level related to specific average fuel consumption (which depends on the accelerator pedal position) and driving conditions in real traffic on a usual road track between Cluj-Napoca and Alba Iulia. There are no particular studies related to this specific topic concerning the fuel consumption level and carbon dioxide emissions of the 1.3 dm3 engine from the Suzuki Swift. Nowadays are many similar vehicles in the small class on the roads in EU countries.
The fuel consumption control influences the carbon dioxide emission management with electronic online module regarding the carbon foot-print, energy efficiency and level of pollution. Analyzing the fuel specific consumption of the petrol engine from Suzuki Swift creates the opportunity to optimize carbon dioxide emissions, as well as other environmental controls. This experimental research is developed while testing the electronic management system regarding specific fuel consumption through engine control unit to acquire testing data. The actual values are recorded in different driving conditions, on average range.

STUDIES ON SOME AIR QUALITY INDICATORS
AFFECTED BY ROAD TRAFFIC IN CLUJ-NAPOCA CITY
The paper aims to present the current level of air pollution produced by road traffic in Cluj-Napoca city, and finally, provides possible solutions so that the pollution levels will be reduced and air quality will improve. Environmental Protection Agency in Cluj County has installed a number of 4 automatic stations for air quality measuring, in Cluj-Napoca. Measurement of PM10 pollutants is achieved by using LSPM10 method. All the recommendations were adapted to the specificity of Cluj-Napoca City, the second largest city in the country.

Designing and testing the coupling solution of a trailer at the hook of utility all terrain vehicle CF MOTO 500-2A
All-Terrain Vehicles are today quite popular and often known both as entertaining systems as well as utility equipment. The scientific paper shows a small contribution to the design and implementation of a practical solution for coupling the trailer to the ATV tow. There was used a dynamometric sensor in order to measure the inertial forces during braking process in various conditions of driving the ATV CF MOTO 500-2A, considering all the time accelerating and decelerating manoeuvres in the case of trailer towing, when a traction mass is placed on the vehicle’s hook, due to the attached trailer. The importance of studying the kinematic and dynamic aspects of ATV’s driving process resides in significance that the trailer inertia force has on the road train during some driving manoeuvres of cornering, decelerating and accelerating.

research REGARDING THE INFLUENCE OF ROUGHNESS ON PERFORMANCE OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present paper presents the study of the intake pipes surface roughness and its influences on the performance of an internal combustion engine. The measurements of the roughness were made experimentally, and the influences were studied using three simulation software: AVL BOOST (2013.1), GT Suite (7.4.0) and WAVE (2014.1). In order to obtain conclusive results, the same engine (Opel Astra F engine type C20NE) was simulated in three software, using the old type of materials for the intake pipes (forged cast iron) and the newer versions of materials (plastic). The data from all simulations were extracted, managed and accurately inspected and interpreted. The main conclusion of the paper is that the surface roughness of the intake pipe has an effect on the power of the internal combustion engine, not only because of the weight, but also the flow is improved. The same conclusion was obtained from all software.

Contributions to experimental research OF technical state of suspension and of its influence upon confort and adherence to the road surface for opel corsa vehicle
The experimental work presented in this paper shows some of the achievements during practical testing of the suspension system and wheel train in order to gain information on their influence upon adherence or road contact stability. The experimental tests were conducted in order to point out the influence of suspension springs, tires and dampers on the adherence and road contact between tires and sustaining surface. There were examined the weight axle and suspension efficiency on each wheel of the vehicle during vibration of the testing plates. In the experimental work are also specified the main vehicle components and the suspension test-bed infrastructure in order to gain further more quality and definition of the practical procedure. The opportunity and main significance of testing the suspension quality at different vibration frequencies and for each wheel of the two vehicle’s axles in order to point out adherence level is based on the capacity of test-bed and on the importance of vibration influences in vehicle’s over-all performance.

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES CONCERNING THE CLOGGING level OF DIESEL PARTICLE
FILTER (DPF) AFTER 45000 KM IN CASE
OF K9K892 E5 1.5DCI ENGINE
This experimental research paper is pointing out the main ideas of a practical test concerning clogging degree of the diesel particle filter from gas exhaust system, in operation mode, with engine scanner and data processing devices connected to on board diagnosis module. Knowledge concerning the after-treatment processes of exhausted emissions from an internal combustion engine is extremely valuable in configuring a strategy for harmonious and sustainable living on the planet Earth. The main concept of present paper aims to the process of monitoring and measurement of parameters defining the clogging degree of a specific diesel particle filter from k9k892 euro 5 compression ignited engine with displacement capacity of 1.5 liters. The experimental determinations are developed in real time and after a medium operation interval – specifically which is 45000 km on the roads.

Contributions to the experimental research of exhaust system influence upon performances in the case of Daewoo Matiz vehicle
The present experimental research points out a complete work of testing the exhaust pipe and after-treatment systems for a modern spark engines with different components, by evaluating the phenomenology and few parameters. There is a fact that the gas exhaust system construction and operation has an influence upon the gas flow and also on the engine behaviour. Testing the exhaust after-treatment systems may generate engineering improvement solutions in order to optimize the engine performance and hydrocarbon economy.
Nowadays in Europe the environmental issues and energy independence are very often priorities on the public and private agenda. The present paper research the issue of practical testing exhaust gas pipe-line and advances the solution of repair and evaluate existing components, with significant changes in dynamic performance and engine environmental impact. By restoring the after-treatment components in their original state the emissions are lowered.

experimental researches concerning the extra-urban fuel consumption determination for Renault kangoo
The present work realizes an experimental research and analytic study of the fuel efficiency data gained in extra-urban determinations concerning the fuel consumption, vehicle average speed on the road, location and ecologic behaviour, in climate and real-time defined road conditions, with Renault Kangoo from 2007, during the frequently used track in exploitation between Cluj-Napoca and Alba Iulia cities. There was evaluated the carbon foot print and fuel efficiency measured from the initial reference point (in Cluj-Napoca) and also the economic and environmental behaviour based on the fuel supply process in the case of testing on a real-road track. The opportunity of the present research paper is given by the fact that vehicle economy and environmental behaviour during extra-urban driving operation have a significant influence on carbon impact when engaging in high speeds.

The analyze of semiosis phenomena in the case of electronic control system of the spark ignited engine from opel astra f
The present paper shows a detailed analysis of semioses phenomena for modern spark engines with electronic processing components installed in order to improve engine control, by generating a diagnosing protocol of the power-train in operation. It points out the specific field of electronics measuring methods (with modern micro-processor components) developed for spark ignited engines, specifically the ones with single point injection in the present case. There is known that the sensors and actuators operation besides the electronic control unit have a major influence upon the operational process and also on the engine reliability and economy. Studying and testing the electronic control systems on spark ignited engines may lead to a different engineering measures and improvement strategies in order to optimize the power-train performance and fuel economy, while the vehicle’s dynamic will be accurately controlled. Today in the field of computer-science and technology diagnosing process and procedures are very important in order to gain the most performance and functionality out of a component or a system. The present article presents the issue of experimentally evaluating electronic control system and improving the operation with significant changes and measurements on the parameters which must comply with the manufacturer’s prescription of system performance.

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES OF CF MOTO 500- 5A/L7E
ATV’S DYNAMICS IN THE CASE OF TRAILER TOW
All-Terrain Vehicles are globally-spread nowadays both as entertaining
systems and as utility equipment. This paper presents a contribution to the
experimental research and graphical study of the data gained by developing a
practical protocol and methodology in order to monitor the kinematic and
dynamic parameters for three specific road surfaces, with all-terrain vehicle of
the type ATV CF MOTO 500-5A/L7e in the process of deceleration/acceleration
from different initial speed values. There were measured the braking distances
compared to the initial reference point and meanwhile were determined the
dynamic parameters of the ATV CF MOTO 500-5A/L7e during the
acceleration/deceleration process in the case of trailer towing, when a traction
force acts at the vehicle hook due to the 750 kg trailer. The opportunity of
researching this dynamic behavior is made possible by a research contract in
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, showing that the trailer inertia force is
influencing both kinematics and dynamics during driving maneuvers of braking
and accelerating, as well as different conditions during usual ATV riding.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH
OF FUEL CONSUMPTION FOR RENAULT
The present paper summarize an experimental research and
comparative study of the data gained in field measurements concerning the fuel
consumption, average speed, location and economic behavior, in urban defined
road conditions and climate, with Renault Kangoo vehicle of the model year
2007 during the frequently START-STOP process in real environment engine
exploitation. There is evaluated the mileage measured from the initial reference
point and also the economic and ecologic behavior based on the fuel supply
process in the case of undertaking a specified track. The importance of the
present research is given by the fact that vehicle economy and dynamic loading
during some urban driving maneuvers have a great influence on environmental
impact when braking and taking off, also on a variety of normal situations.

THE STUDY TROUGH MODELING OF AFTER-TREATMENT
SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GASES FROM INTERNAL
The present work shows a detailed analysis of gases after-treatment
systems for modern spark engines with different components installed, by
generating a simulation research of the working phenomenology and
parameters. It outlines the specific field of gas after-treatment methods (with
modern catalytic components) developed for spark ignited engines, specifically
the energy and economy improving possibilities through simulation of the final
evacuation process of gases. There is considered that the gas evacuation and
exhaust system architecture besides the catalytic converter have a major
influence upon the phenomena of gas flow and also on the engine economy
and pollution. Modeling and simulating the after-treatment systems on spark
ignited engines may lead to a multitude of engineering acts and improvement
strategies in order to optimize the environmental performance and fuel
economy, while the engine dynamic performance will be accurately managed.
Today in European Union the specific regulations in antipollution domain and oil
independence in relation with the Middle East are more often discussed, being
high priorities on the institutional and executional panel. The present article
outlines the issue of modeling/simulating exhaust engine systems and
improving the existing components but with significant changes which must
comply with the law requirements of reduced pollution and low consumption.

RESEARCH OF ACCELERATIONS AND TRACTION
FORCES OF ALL TERAIN VEHICLES
The present paper realizes an experimental research and comparative study of the results obtained from practical measurements with regard to acceleration, deceleration, stopping distance and dynamic behaviour, in various road conditions and surfaces, with all-terrain vehicle of the type ATV 500 CF Moto during the braking process when starting at various initial speeds. It is evaluated the stopping distance measured from the initial reference point and also the dynamic behaviour of the ATV CF-Moto 500 during the acceleration/deceleration process in the case of traction force at the rear end vehicle hook due to the 750 kg trailer. The need of studying this force is in that vehicle dynamic loading during some driving manoeuvres of braking and taking off, respectively a various situations during normal riding.

PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMICITY ANALYSIS OF A DIESEL ENGINE THAT RUNS ON BIODIESEL
The paper aims to analyse through simulation of performance indicators (actual Power and Time effective) and economic indices (actual fuel specific consumption) of an engine operating on biofuels. The simulation program is Lotus Engine Simulation, free software for monocilindrice engines. There have been a series of simulations to highlight the differences between a pure Diesel fuel and B100 (100 % Biodiesel).
