ABOUT INVENTIONS AND INVENTORS
An invention is a solution or a technical achievement in a field of
knowledge which shows the progress from the novelty stage known until then.
An invention is defined ”as a machine, a process, an improved etc.-new and
useful, which existed previously and which are recognized as the product of an
intuition or a unique genius, outstanding mechanical skills common or craft”
Henry Ford, founder of the American automotive industry; Swedish engineer
Alfred Nobel considered the inventor; American inventor Thomas Alva Edison,
the owner of the 1903 patent research, known in the whole world as the
inventor of the incandescent bulb; American engineer William BULLOCK in
1863 invention of which revolutionized the industry tipăritului: a more efficient
and more press. But his was the one that finally brought death. Only a few
inventions and those which they have achieved. This is the message of the
paper.

Nanotechnology is a collective term for Nano scale technology
customized development. Nanotechnology is manufacturing a product with a
geometric size controlled at least one functional component has a particle size
of less than 100 nanometres. Physicist Richard Phillips Feynman’s first man
spoke about the technologies at the molecular level. Nanotechnology is the
technology of the future, enabling the introduction of new functionality in a
product. For instance, Bucky balls can be crowded in the form of cylinders,
called „nanotubes”. Nanotubes are made from fibre that can be included in
various materials, which are incredibly resilient. Wall paints with carbon fibber
and carbon black particles of Nano size acts as a screen against 99 % of highfrequency
electromagnetic waves. The 30 year Nano robots complexes will
appear – Nano doctors. And the examples can continue.

THE INVESTIGATION OF AN OLD
PLASTER SAMPLE
Wall plasters are featured since the first buildings are raised. They are
often found in Roman Empire for many applications such walls and hypocaust
structure. One of the main components in such plasters is broken brick. We
found broken brick in a usual plaster dating from 1950, along with quartz,
calcite, kaolinite, and portlandite. We can affirm that the investigated plaster
sample is more similar to the roman plasters than to the modern one.

IMPLEMENTATION
In our country only 9 road tunnels are built, totaling a length of only
1.6 km and an average age greather than 30 years. The longest tunnel is 884
long, located on Transfagarasan road and is unenlightened and airflow. Given
the age and length of tunnels, fire safety measures are virtualle non-existent in
our country road tunnels. It is generally noted the need for fire safety minimum
measures and new road tunnels building.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION METHOD BASED ISOLATION
A building during its functioning can be in various stages of decay,
situation which leads to decisions needed to strengthen it. For each case
particularly, the solution adopted differs, depending on the seriousness of
damage and importance of building, from this resulting the amplitude of the
intervention work established. The situations differ from current repairs, to
interventions on the structure resistance, to more complex works such as
rehabilitation by base insulating. At work involving historic buildings, one should
take particular account of the need to preserve the building both in terms of
component materials and architectural point of view.

If intervention on older buildings, the execution technology must be so
chosen that throughout the construction works it would be in accordance with
the technological characteristics of the studied building. In order to achieve the
intervention, the choice of traditional materials and technologies is preferred,
and when this is not possible, combined solutions may be adopted with the use
of modern materials and methods. It is useful that the chosen method for the
reinforcement makes, if necessary, further interventions possible.

This paper aims to make a presentation to the European context,
based on energy challenges, facing Europe today. So, are presented strategic
objectives of EU energy policy and the means by which they should be
implemented to address the three key challenges of Europe’s energy namely
sustainability, competitiveness and security of supply, in order to guarantee
freedom of users real choice at fair prices. It also takes into account an analysis
of the EU internal energy market, given that problems related to technological
development, energy efficiency, climate change, access to oil and gas, are
common to most member states and must be addressed in a collaborative
effort. The paper identifies, from the main European documents on energy,
measures to be considered by EU institutions for effective implementation of
the common energy policy.

WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTION OF ONE DIGITAL A.V.R.
The paper presents some important aspects regarding the extended
capacitive field of operation for one Hydro Power Plant – HPP with the
contribution of a digital Automatic Voltage Regulator AVR. As we do know, the
capacitive regimes are more difficult to be operated for one remote HPP and,
from here, the AVR found to work properly could be considered to be the
proper chosen one. Among AVR chosen to control at the best such regimes,
devoted for special cases with remote HPP are preferred those of digital type.
The paper presents by comparison, two types of different AVRs at work – one of
old classic type SAREX 42 A vs. the newer digital one, of much more improved
performances, called type SRAT-N.

Per capita energy consumption in Republic of Moldova is 2.4 to 11.8
times lower than in other countries. However energy intensity in correlation to
GDP is 2 to 3 times higher. The energy intensity can be reduced by lowering
energy consumption in buildings sector, currently representing 58% of the total.
Also, it can be achieved by improving energy efficiency in industry and
transportation. At this time, European and World banks credits constitute one of
the leading supports in our effort to increase energy efficiency.

COMPARATIVE ASPECTS REGARDING THE
DIODE-BRIDGE WITH A COMPLEX LOAD
In this paper we consider a three-phase ideal diode-bridge fed by a
non-symmetrical voltage system and with a complex load. Using an analytical
method we obtain the Fourier coefficients of serial development for the
harmonic currents on both of the DC and AC sides. To demonstrate the
usefulness of the analytical method, the results obtained by the analytical
method are compared with those obtained by the simulation method, which
gives accurate results. The paper considers a three-phase diode-bridge under
four particular non-symmetrical supply conditions. The values obtained by the
analytical method are near to those obtained by using digital simulation
(maximum relative error 1.1% in DC side and 2.6% in AC side). Finally, we
draw the conclusions and we indicate the references.

making decision is the wind potential. It is determined from measurements
using special installation and depends entirely on relief and climate, actually by

This paper presents a Reusable Electro-Resistive Transducer for
measuring deformation of the structures of resistance during their operation.
The sensitivity of this sensor is close to the classical Electrical Resitance Strain
Gauge as having the same base of measurement. The proposed reusable
transducer’s advantage is that it can be reused several times at different
measuring points. In this manner, essential cost reductions are to be made to
the experimental measurements of stress and strain.

actuators investigated will fit in field of biomedical engineering.

DETERMINING THE NATURAL FREQUENCIES
OF BENDED BEAMS
This paper presents the natural frequencies obtained from modal
analysis, performed with ANSYS software, for the first 60 vibration modes of a
bended bar (L shape) without defect and with defects situated on three different
locations along the column. The research was made in order to highlight the
changes of the structure’s dynamic behaviour in terms of natural frequencies.
