The paper investigates the influence of different constructive elements
concerning the sowing process of seeding machines, over the distribution
uniformity of small seed crops with emphasis on trifolienum crops. For this
purpose, the paper will analyze the interdependence between the constructive
parameters of the elements involved in the distribution flow respectively, seed
box, metering device, seed transport tubes, furrow openers, and seed
distribution uniformity.

THE FUTURE ENERGY CHAIN
Over the next decades, the world will face increasing challenges to
supply energy in sufficient quantities, while reducing carbon emission levels.
As the first IEC (International Electro technical Commission) President, Lord
Kelvin, always said: “If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it!”. This
statement is especially true here: without measurement you can’t credibly
demonstrate energy efficiency improvements. The IEC provides and will
continue to provide many of the measuring standards that are the basis for
benchmarking, energy audits and compliance assessments. Electricity is the
most easily controllable form of energy. The IEC believes that electricity will
be the most important contributor to climate change mitigation.
The IEC Market Strategy Board, which comprises high-level
executives from industry, has recently prepared a White Paper on Smart
Electrification which maps out global energy needs and potential solutions
over the next 30 years and the IEC’s role in meeting the challenges. Section
6 of this White Paper demonstrates what needs to change in the energy
chain to achieve the CO2 emission levels that can help humanity to mitigate
climate change.

THE ECONOMIC OPTIMIZATION OF A STEAM POWER
PLANT
This paper provides an Optimization System for an industrial site. The
real-time system will determine the appropriate loading for various boilers and
steam turbines to best meet the site’s demand for steam at various pressures
and generate electricity. We have intended to perform the optimization across
the plant as a whole using PredictPro, although this technology usually
operates on a single process unit.
To provide the system’s functionality there are a number of possible
approaches, including: a steady-state optimizer, utilizing a process model of the
plant (in our case gains model) and the use of the optimizer functionality within
the PredictPro model predictive controller.
Any power plant that can be described by a “gain matrix” with less
than 40 Manipulated Variables (MV) and 80 Constraints (CV) can be treated by
the application in such a configuration.

drawbacks when the selected site for a new SHPP belongs to a particular
frame, already in partial operation. The dam is finished, also the hydro power

one HPP of small rated power capacity. The practical exercise regarding such

OPTIMIZING THE ADMINISTRATION OF ELECTRICAL
ENERGY BY USING BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
In order to efficiently manage the electrical energy consumption of the
buildings it is needed an intelligent system named Building Management
System (BMS), which can be structured on 4 levels: peripherals, input/output
modules, local stations, central management station. The local stations manage
the peripheral in their area and can communicate with other stations and with
the central one. The main modules of a BMS are: HVAC station, Chiller station,
Lighting (internal and external), Security, Elevators. The central management
station has a mainframe with add-on cards for communication with the local
stations and the peripherals. The software permits monitoring the power
distribution at all levels, and also changing the parameters for various system
components (pumps, ventilators, heating, chillers etc). All events must be
recorded in database and presented to the user when needed. Modern BMS
can also be controlled remotely (via Internet). Using a BMS for electrical energy
management can significantly decrease the energy consumption of a building.

ASPECTS REGARDING THE GENERALIZED
LOADS IN ELECTROTECHNICS
This paper presents the generalized loads in electrotechnics and a
new classification of three-phase loads: unbalanced loads, balanced loads and
extremely unbalanced loads. It is considered the impedances with negative real
part, in other words generalized impedances. Also, taking into consideration the
calculation symmetrical components of impedances, a three-phase impedance
system may be divided into two parts: a balanced part and an unbalanced part.
We have a clear representation in impedance’s complex plane. The

REDUCING THE ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION FOR
ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE
The paper presents a study of the electric arc furnace who using
Carbon-Jet and Oxygen-Jet to reduce specific consumption of energy.
Electric arc furnaces (EAF) play an important and increasing role in
modern steel work concepts. The ability to precisely control the temperature
and chemistry of the batch make EAF an ideal choice for producing high-grade
steel for the recycling of scrap. Of the steel made today 36 % is produced by
the EAF route and this share will increase to 50 by 2030.

USING WASTE AS AN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCE
Urban waste in storage can be an inexhaustible source of energy.
Under the action of bacteria, an organic substance from waste undergoes
anaerobic reduction as a result the significant amount of biogas, which contains
an average of over 50 % methane, which has a high calorific value. These
gases can be captured by a network of pipes, filters, dryers can be fuel for an
internal combustion engine driving a generator, or can be liquefied. Thus from
the waste, obtain electricity, clean energy and easy to carry. In this way all
urban landfills in Romania can become energy producers. The benefits are
enormous, in that energy from waste sites and biogas is captured with a more
powerful greenhouse gases than carbon dioxide.

bioplastics fulfill their mean and become residues, the cycle is closed by using
them as compost for fertilizer and a soil improvement in agriculture.

ASPECTS REGARDING WATER QUALITY AS AN
IMPORTANT ISSUE IN IRRIGATION
In spite of progress achieved in this field, the processes taking place in
agriculture are still under the unfavorable effect of some natural factors, their
occurrence, duration and extension in space not being preventable or entirely
removed. Irrigated agriculture has an increasingly important part in
environmental protection in the rural areas, at the global level irrigation being
tributary to supply with water of good quality. Assessment of water quality must
be performed on a regular basis. Equipment developed during the phase of
experimental model has been tested at ANIF- Territorial Branch Olt – Argeş.
Sensoristics of monitoring is made of sensors for pH, electrical conductivity at
25 0C, Na+, Cl-, turbidity. This equipment performs monitoring of water quality at
the intake, at the basic pumping station.

The origin of acid mine water with high content of metals is
accelerated oxidation of iron pyrite and other metal sulfides as being due to
exposure of these minerals in contact with oxygen and water, as a
consequence of metal ore processing. There are two general categories of
treatment methods that are well researched: active treatment, which requires
the use of chemical treatment systems for acid buffering and passive treatment,
which allows biological and chemical processes occurring naturally in the
system to operate outside the control of polluted effluent received.

MINERALS DISTRIBUTION IN COAL FLY ASH FROM
PAROSENI POWER PLANT
Large ash dumps, formed in time, are a high harmful potential for
environment. Our study points out the mineral contained in fly ash resulted at
Paroşeni power plant. The X-ray diffraction analysis reveals large amounts of
quartz, mullet, potasic feldspar, Seri cite and hydrated hematite. Microscopy
investigation prove that quartz particles keeps their initial equiaxial shape
meanwhile higher amount of mullet and hematite feature spherical shape due
to their melting during coal burning. The quantitative microscopic analysis
reveals three particles domains: the larger one having the average diameter of
100 μm, the intermediary one having the average diameter of 44 μm, and the
finest one having the average diameter of 23 μm. Quartz particles are often
found in the larger particle range, hematite hydrate and mullet are often found
in the intermediary particle range, meanwhile feldspar and Seri cite are situated
mainly in the finest particle range.

NOISE POLLUTION
Noise pollution is a danger that threatens population and environment
along with other factors such as: gas emissions in the atmosphere, the
discharge of waste water with dangerous substances content on soil and water,
storage of waste on the ground.
It is found that both sounds, how much and infra-sounds and ultra –
sounds have adverse effects on humans. The most important source of noise in
the larger cities is road traffic generated by the friction of the wheels on the
asphalt and packaging the engines.
To reduce the noise level of the individual measures are taken which
are the personal discipline, and technical measures covered by the obscuration
of the source of noise, protected housing, which is situated the antiphon rooms
noisy plants, screens phonoabsorbant for highways.
