31-63 CONTRIBUȚII LA CERCETAREA EXPERIMENTALĂ A VISCOZITĂȚII ȘI DENSITĂȚII LUBRIFIANTULUI UNUI MOTOR CU APRINDERE PRIN COMPRIMARE DE LA TRACTOR ALIMENTAT CU BIOCOMBUSTIBIL

Contributions to experimental research OF lubricant viscosity and density from tractor compression ignition engine supplied with biofuel

 

The present research paper shows some of the results achieved during practical tests on the compression ignited engine of a mini-tractor for agricultural use.

The developed tests were conducted in order to point out the influence of working time, type of fuel and temperature regime on the main physical properties of the lubricant. There were monitored the viscosity and density of lubricant and of few blends between the lubricant and the supplied fuels. In the research work are also highlighted the main engine components and the test-bed infrastructure in order to facilitate further improvement and development of the procedure.

The necessity and high importance of testing the lubricant main properties, as viscosity and density, at different temperature levels and in various cases of fuel supply methods and substances in the compression ignited engine is based on the ubiquity of biofuel implementation in modern commercial fuels.

In the work is presented thermal calculation time compression ignition engine fuelled with biodiesel, which will allow tracing and checking the chart indicated the fundamental dimensions of the engine, and the necessity of checking the calculations of resistance of main parts of the motor mechanism.

designing and realizing a THERMAL MEASUREMENT AND MANAGEMENT SOLUTION in machines power-train FOR MODERN AGRICULTURE EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGIES

 

The present scientific paper develops an experimental research concerning the exhaust system behaviour and temperature analyse as well as a simulation model, fuel consumption, and other parameters in different testing conditions on a laboratory test-bed.

There are highlighted the possibilities of clogging the exhaust system, by introducing a flaps in the exhaust-pipe slot (specially created for this purpose). Importance and opportunity for researching and testing the exhaust system of the Lombardini compression ignited engine comes from the numerous specific applications that manifest the symptoms of clogging, engine-low performance, and other diminished performances in operation.

The main objective of this paper consists in outlining the problem related to the exhaust system clogging and energetic-ecologic-economic performances of the compression ignited engine in laboratory testing situations.

analizing a THERMAL MANAGEMENT SOLUTION of engine as EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGy in rally vehicles

 

The present scientific paper develops an applied research of the thermal management aspects in the engine operational behavior and a graphic analyze of the real time measurements. Engine management parameters were recorded during rally competition, as well as injection duty, air temperature and other-operational behavior, in different running situations, with engine monitoring equipment connected to the electronic control unite via wire connection. Here are highlighted the thermal management system and the injector duty cycle, fuel supply and the ignition angle of the motor-sport vehicle (Mitsubishi Lancer in 2011). Importance for testing the engine systems of the Mitsubishi Lancer comes from the numerous rally vehicles that are in such competitions, and interest in understanding them. The development of present work aims toward the goal of outlining the aspects related to the thermal management and fuel supply systems and their relation with ignition control in some specific operating situations.

Vlogging as a video blog is a more often adopted activity to communicate rapidly information through on-line environment and to reach people all over the world in order to connect them with the events and information. Today using the vlog channels and posted data on-line in video formats it may reduce number of experiments that repeat the same algorithm or procedure, thus saving some of the available resources and great amount of energy.

Using wisely the planetary resources, energy, intellectual property, financing and material may lead to prosperous development of humanity and individuals, in stability and proper environment. In this article it is shown the analytics of a developed vlog in the past few years, and its results on various criteria.

designing and testing a system for THERMAL-hydro-energetic conversion of flamable waste FOR a 200 square meters building

 

The present work develops an applied design of the thermal, hydraulic and fuel storage components of the waste materials energetic-conversion system. Behavior and operational analyze as well as combustion management parameters, fuel quantity, water temperature and problematic behavior, in different testing situations, with temperature scanning equipment connected to the analogic control module via thermostats. Here are outlined the waste combustion system and the primitive method of fuel supply in the case of first design, as well as the possibilities for improvement and automation. Importance for testing the waste energetic conversion system consists in the fact that there are a multitude of flammable waste materials that should be disposed. Garbage waste is so high-level that nowadays humanity does not know what to do with it. The development of present paper aims toward the goal of outlining the problem related to the fuel supply system and the pollution of the first design, as well as to the possibility of installing particle filters and catalyst in order to gain an after-treatment gas-control.

31-55 EFICIENȚA UNUI SISTEM TERMO SOLAR ÎN CONTEXTUL ECONOMIC ACTUAL. CAZ PARTICULAR

ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF A THERMOSOLAR SYSTEM.

A CASE STUDY

 

Integration costs of a thermal solar system for domestic hot water preparation are a decisive factor regarding the implementation of the system. Integration cost depends on the size, capacity, complexity and the type of the thermal solar system. The payback period is directly influenced by the costs of conventional energy prices. Thus, this paper estimates the economic efficiency or the payback period of a thermal solar system for a household with three persons. The thermal solar system is chosen based on the three-year average monthly water consumption. The payback period is estimated based on the last three year monthly average costs of natural gas consumption.

31-51 FUZIUNEA IMAGINII PENTRU ÎMBUNĂTĂȚIREA IMAGINILOR MULTISPECTRALE PRIN SATELIT

IMAGE FUSION FOR RESOLUTION IMPROVEMENT

OF MULTISPECTRAL SATELLITE IMAGES

 

This paper presents a comparative study concerning the techniques of image fusion that aim at the improvement of the spatial resolution of multispectral satellite images for remote sensing applications. Three methods are used, Hue-Saturation-Intensity color transform (HSI), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Brovey technique. Two datasets of two satellites having different resolution and different resolution ratio are used, LANDSAT7 and IKONOS. The measurement of Trade-Off-Value, which is a measure of the degree of resolution improvement and spectral property preservation, is used to evaluate the given methods. The results have shown the superiority of the Brovey method for the LANDSAT7 dataset and the superiority of HSI for the IKONOS dataset.

The paper presents an analysis of four classic telemetry systems for level measurement, i.e.: for three such systems with float and counterweight, such as those with D.C. pulses, with potentiometer and a D.C. voltmeter, and two identical selsins, one transmitter and one receiver, and a resistive transducer system and logo meter level indicator, which is only used for liquids that have low resistivity. At the last system, it was made a study about linearized conversion, liquid level in the angular displacement of the indicator.

We achieved a C interface-MATLAB callable standalone, or integrated, for plotting the characteristics. The interface allows the interconnection, if necessary, with other FORTRAN modules, SIMULINK, FEMM.

31-38 DETERMINAREA VALORII OPTIME A PĂTURII DE CURENT PENTRU GENERATOARE SINCRONE

DETERMINING THE OPTIMAL LINIAR CURRENT

DENSITY VALUE FOR SYNCHRONOUS

GENERATORS

 

 

This work presents the way linear current density values influences the dimensions, costs, and performances of some synchronous generators. The studied generators, with various rated speed, were designed following classic and optimal methods in order to determine the linear current density optimal value depending on a specific optimization criterion. The optimal design has been realized with the Simplex algorithm where the objective function aims total cost reduction for the synchronous generator. The linear current density value has been determined for both the classical design and for the optimized solution. Comparing the two results we analysed the impact these variable has on the synchronous generator’s dimensions, mass, losses, on the generator’s efficiency, costs, and flask currents. We draw conclusions referring to the optimal value tendency for the linear current density depending on its variation interval and on the generator’s rotation speed.

From the analysis we observe that to achieve a cost-optimal synchronous generator, the linear current density value must be chosen close to the upper limit of the variation interval.

31-37 PIERDERILE PE LINIA DE ALIMENTARE A UNUI CONSUMATOR TRIFAZAT LEGAT ÎN STEA

THE SUPPLY LINE LOSS OF A  THREE-PHASE LOAD IN STAR CONNECTION

 

The electrical power system usually operated in a symmetrical three-phase steady state mode. But, there are certain situations that can cause non-symmetrical operations. The presence of the unbalanced three-phased loads induce the apparition of  the non-symmetrical systems involving currents and voltages as well the extra-loss within the supply wire. In this work we present a mathematical proof in Mathcad of additional losses in the electrical energy transmission line working under non-symmetrical conditions. Was considered a simplified model in star connection, but the obtained result generalizes to complex electrical circuits. Finally, we  show the conclusions and references.

The value of a university is how it relates to the society’s needs, to the quality assurance regarding the preparing of specialists in various areas of activity, as well as to the performance of research activities and scientific development. This paper illustrates the application of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the relative efficiency of public universities in Romania. The results of this study show that DEA application to assess relative efficiency among public universities in a certain country is a reliable approach by providing quantitative indicators for comparative analysis.

Standards are applied to the design, construction and performance of the equipment and components integrated in smart cities and smart buildings. Technical standardization committees are focused on developing and revising standards ensuring interoperability in real time in order to improve services related to urban communities. The presentation will contain information about the technical committees of the international (including European) standardization organizations and reference standards which contributed to the long-term development of the intelligent cities by defining the necessary guidelines for leading and measuring the urban service performance and the quality of life. We present standards about global information infrastructure, internet protocol aspects and next-generation networks, Internet of Things reference model and functional groups, Machine-to-Machine communications (M2M), Smart Energy Infrastructures security, review of existing security measures and convergence investigations. At the beginning of last century, Romania was one of the richest European countries, among the first 10 countries that have introduced the car since its inception.

It presents the first transport vehicles in Romania dates back to 1895 are represented by two hybrid trucks with steam. „The Karaso” Simplon exotic convertible is a car made in Resita, in the style roadsters from the 50s. Vintage cars are not just cars, they can be considered on its own history on wheels, ideal combination for nostalgic times in which power was aesthetics, elegance and refinement. The oldest car in the west is a nice Ford Model A, 1928. The tradition left by the big names in automotive construction must be respected, promoting the work of some young Romanian students from technical universities and their achievements: University „Ovidius” in Constanta, Technical University „Gh. Asachi” University and University of Pitesti.

Many important inventions are known to authors who have not achieved them, or inventing their primacy being given to others. In the midst of remodelling during the extensive campaigns systematization that has undergone Bucharest following the earthquake of March 4, 1977, and ambition Ceausescu to shape city image and likeness urban centres North Korea, they have fallen victim to many buildings and not less than twenty-nine religious buildings dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth century. In those circumstances, the engineer Eugeniu Iordăchescu, then technical director of the Institute Project Bucharest, dared professional and moral to propose process whole new translation buildings and to press the authorities to save not less than ten buildings worship, and the Synodal Palace courtyard Antim Monastery, and he aimed for demolition.

Original in terms of design, technology implementation and transport equipment translation solution developed then is a special performance, which requires recognition and gratitude.

An example of how courage and civic awareness Dr.Ing. Eugeniu Iordăchescu can boost technical performance and have the most spectacular consequences in practical sphere.
