28-65 ENERGIA ȘI MEDIUL – DIN PERSPECTIVA STANDARDIZĂRII EUROPENE

ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT – EUROPEAN STANDARDIZATION PERSPECTIVE Energy and environmental policies are interlinked with energy production and environmental impact. Standardization plays an important role in efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. This is because standards directly relate to the design of products and processes. The standards define acceptable levels of energy use, waste management procedures and other measures to protect the environment. The developments of standards, technical committees (TC) are needed to ensure that the impact of products, services and processes on the environment are taken into account at every stage of its lifecycle. The key objective of the „CEN approach to the environmental aspects of products and services to standards” is to implement a framework to promote and ensure better inclusion of these issues in European standards. EU environmental legislation and agenda of the European Commission (EC) on resource efficiency are directed to ensure that EU policies take full advantage of all the potential to reduce the risks and impact of energy consumption. This will bring direct and indirect improvements on health and the environment, reduce imports and will enable the EU to better compete internationally in a world of limited resources.

MACHINING COMPLEX CURVED SURFACES, USING SPHERICAL HEAD MILLS
The complexity of a piece configuration is determined by its functional role, mechanical loading system, operating conditions. Surfaces defining a piece in space can be expressed by means of parametric equations. A surface profile can be completely defined if that surface intersects two planes perpendicular to each other. Surface intersection curves resulting data with those plans have as expressions, analytical equations. Machining end mills with spherical head is a very complex process, due primarily blade arrangement on a spherical surface. The solution for successful machining of complex curved surfaces is to use mills with spherical head.

RESEARCH OF WELDED JOINTS HEAT-RESISTANT STEEL
Alloy and not alloy steels, with specified elevated temperature shall be prepared in accordance with SR EN 10216 – 2 + A2 – 2008 Standard. Structural examinations and mechanical tests performed on weld heat-resistant steels have shown the possibility of establishing, with some degree of certainty, the correlations between the type of microstructure and mechanical characteristics.
Solid solution hardening due to the presence of dislocations, the precipitating and foreign atoms from the network, represent a very important element to be taken into account in determining the structural and mechanical properties of heat-resistant alloy and not alloy steels wieldable.

INFLUENCE ON ACTIVE FOAM LAYERS OF METAL
This paper aims to achieve a bibliographical study and practical research on technologies for coating metal layers, especially nickel-based alloys and their use in automotive and foams active influence on them in the wash. It was found that with the wear caused by aging and external factors, including repeated washing, auto parts nickel, shows a frosting, that glossy look is diminished, so is looking for a foam manufacturing assets that do not affect the optimal structure of material basis of their physical properties.

ASPECTS OF REINFORCED POROUS MATERIALS OBTAINING
The sintered materials of metal powders have low mechanical properties, which is why a reinforced process can improve these properties. The reinforcement is made of steel webs with square cell and particle size distribution of the powder deposited on these elements must be within the network parameter data. The materials obtained by sintering at 800 0C for 30 minutes in a hydrogen atmosphere have a uniform structure with a good pores distribution. The metal network influences the development of breakage and increases the tensile strength.

PILOT RESERARCH FOR PRODUCTION OF
ELECTRICAL CONTACTS FOR STRONG CURRENTS
BY POWDER METALLURGY
There were experienced three pilot versions for electrical contacts for strong currents, W – Cu, by powder metallurgy. Based on these it was selected the following variant: Cu matrix composite reinforced with W, starting from the powder: W – 50.18 mass %, Ni – 1.02 %, Cu 48.06 %, and 0.74 % zinc stearate. 8 GPa pressed, sintered at 875 °C for 15 minutes, then infiltrated with Cu to fill the pores, resulting in a product that has a density of 11.738 kg/m3, similar to the theoretical density. It is noted that often remain additions of no infiltrated Cu and sometimes may appear craters in place of infiltration. It is preferred the version with as little as possible infiltrated Cu.

This paper presents a research regarding the procedure of obtaining the zinc ferrite in nanocristalline/nanometer state throw the standard procedure as ceramic method and then applying the mechanical milling. As a start material we use zinc ferrite. We apply the ceramic method and then we mill the material in two types of environment (dry and with solution). For analysing the results we use SEM, DSC and X-ray diffraction. In the end we obtain zinc ferrite in nano crystalline and nonometer status.

CHARACTERIZATION OF BINDER UTILIZED FOR INJECTION MOLDING OF ALUMINIUM MATRIX COMPOSITE WITH GRAPHITE AND SILICON CARBIDE PARTICLES
Powder Injection moulding is considered a novel technique for the manufacture of complex shape samples of ceramic or metal powders. It consists in: powder mixing with a binder, injection into a form; binder removal, and sintering. Injection moulding technology is characterized by high stability and productivity. It makes possible to use uncomplicated and inexpensive equipment. The most important for a binding agent is to be thin to reduce the force of attraction between solid particles of different sizes in order to reduce the viscosity. By adding a small quantity of binder it should provide a good formation of the mixture, ready for separation of the preform to retain the shape and strength of injection moulded sample. The sample is quickly removed and does not contaminate the carbon material contained in waste, or other products.

IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PROCEDURES
In present casting have gained a significant position in the engineering arena and is one of the most important domain in manufacturing. Achieving casting usually require a greater complexity to the design and material processing to ensure a structural integrity. These include a complex system in which the processing conditions are crucial and require an appropriate design of material grades used.
The technologies used in the processing of materials by casting are characterized by mostly by a sinuous, complicated, sometimes technological consideration during raw material to finished product. Recent decades have marked the emergence of the current industrial exploitation in the processing of materials, preoccupations more intensely related to the reduction and optimization of material and energy consumption linked with improving the environment. Specific procedures for processing materials were continuously developed and have come to represent today’s modern and efficient alternatives for obtaining materials and products development prospects and future use special.

THE CONVENIECE OF VISUALISING THE CONTROLLED FORMATION OF ICE PLUGS IN HORIZONTAL PIPE-LINE SECTION
The technique of forming controlled ice plugs in pipe-line installations in order to isolate a section from the rest of the circuit is used for carrying out circuit maintenance or repair activities without shutting down the entire installation. The geometrical characteristics of the ice plug can vary from one test to another, depending on the conditions under which the test is being carried out and the events that occur during this time. Studying this process requires visualizing the forming of ice layers inside the pipe.
This paper describes the convenience of visualizing the formation of ice plugs by studying the effect of the events and interventions that occur during controlled tests that have been carried out in horizontal pipe-line sections.

PROTECTION CENTRIFUGAL MECHANISM OF
THE WIND TURBINE ROTOR AT OVERSPEED
The protection centrifugal mechanism at overspeed described in this paper is designed and made for a wind aggregate of 5 kW. This mechanism is a complex system, designed as an automatic mechanical system to react without electronic control. Only the returning to the initial state is controlled by the electronic system of automatic control of the wind turbine. The triggering of the centrifugal mechanism must be followed by the locking in its extreme position of the rotation of the blades. After locking, the speed is reduced to 20 … 30 rpm then, if weather conditions allow, it gives the command to unlock the centrifugal mechanism so the mechanism returns back to the normal working position.

STAND FOR TESTING THE OVERSPEED PROTECTION CENTRIFUGAL MECHANISM OF A 5 KW
WIND TURBINE ROTOR
The testing stand is designed to check the rotor protection complex system of a wind aggregate of 5 kW at over speed. The planned complex system is designed as an automatic mechanical system to react without electronic control. Only the returning to the initial state is controlled by the electronic system of automatic control of the wind turbine. The stand checks triggering centrifugal mechanism when is achieved the maximum rotation speed initially prescribed. The triggering of the centrifugal mechanism must be followed by the locking in its extreme position of the rotation of the blades. After locking, the centrifugal speed is reduced to 20 … 30 rpm then, if weather conditions allow, it gives the command to unlock the centrifugal mechanism. An electric motor drives a cam which raises the locking pin so that the centrifugal mechanism returns back to the normal working position. The adjusting of the centrifugal counterweight of the centrifugal mechanism and the impeccable operation of the whole automatic system should be checked on the testing stand. The purposes of the tests are to adjust, check and improve the endurance of the mechanism.

Induction generator with dual stator winding is very good for low power and speed, wind and hydro power plant systems, because it has a good controllability, low reactive power consumption, low cost and flexible characteristics. In this paper is presented an variable speed energy conversion system with this type of generator.

ELEMENTS ON THE CONCEPT AND DESIGN OF A TRACKED MINI ROBOT PROTOTYPE – “ROBO GRIPES” –
WITH ELECTRIC ACTIONING OBTAINED FROM SOLAR ENERGY CAPTURE
The authors of this paper wish to highlight elements regarding the organology and the integration of the hardware component, functioning and simulation, in the real workspace, of a tracked mini robot prototype with electric auctioning obtained from solar energy capture with a load of explosives attached. The technological product developed and designed after completion of the experimental prototype is subject to a national patent (no. RO a 00684, issued by O.S.I.M.) granted to our institution, the result of research activities undertaken under a contract won by national competition, a grant for young research teams, PN-RU-TE-2010 type. The experimental prototype of a tracked mini robot, called Robo Gripes, part of the unmanned ground vehicles category having the ability to act autonomously and enabling its endowment with means of observation, listening, tapping, relaying, jamming and demining/reclamation of UXOs and IEDs. This paper reveals, in detail, the composing parts of the hardware component, as well as the way they are assembled in the mechanical structure of the mini robot under study.

TTL LOGIC GATES INTEGRATED CIRCUITS
Transistor–transistor logic (TTL) is a class of digital circuits built from bipolar junction transistors (BJT) and resistors. It is called transistor–transistor logic because both the logic gating function and the amplifying function are performed by transistors (contrast with RTL and DTL). TTL is notable for being a widespread integrated circuit (IC) family used in many applications such as computers, industrial controls, test equipment and instrumentation, consumer electronics, synthesizers etc. The designation TTL is sometimes used to mean TTL-compatible logic levels, even when not associated directly with TTL integrated circuits, for example as a label on the inputs and outputs of electronic instruments. Successors to the original bipolar TTL logic often are interchangeable in function with the original circuits, but with improved speed or lower power dissipation.

Until a few years ago, projectors and multimedia projectors, were very expensive, very large and heavy and were used by very few. Progress in the industry, new high performance projectors, much cheaper and much smaller, can successfully design PowerPoint presentations or images HDTV, ideal for applications „home cinema”.
Any project, whatever technology is developed, has the same basic internal structure: a strong light source (lamp), an electronic video signal processing (PC, DVD etc.) and an optical system of projection. Increasing maritime traffic in recent years has led to an increase in maritime accidents, especially ships collisions, some of which reported casualties between crew members.
This paper presents the methods and possibilities of storage, retrieval and processing information, format and amount of data stored and the mechanisms for their discharge within a VDR system.
In the theoretical study of storage information methods there were types of VDR systems compared by their compatibility of different storage data. This systems can be useful for investigators when they manage a maritime accident on board ships.

28-27 IMPLEMENTAREA CORECTĂ A HRR DE LA INCENDII DE AUTOTURISME ÎN VEDEREA SIMULĂRII COMPUTERIZATE

PROPER IMPLEMENTATION OF CAR FIRES HRR IN COMPUTER SIMULATION PURPOSE
The article presents the work of the authors concerning establishing the HRR (heat release rate) for modern cars considering the new materials used to build them. In order to do this, large scale test were studied involving small and middle size cars, in purpose to measure the burning time and determine HRR (heat release rate) using the oxygen calorimetric method. The results obtained are compared with some others similar results and become very important for knowledge and for establishing protection measures especially for close and semi-closed spaces crossed by cars.

PULSE-CODE MODULATION (PCM)
Pulse-code modulation (PCM) is a method used to digitally represent sampled analogy signals. It is the standard form of digital audio in computers, Compact Discs, digital telephony and other digital audio applications. In a PCM stream, the amplitude of the analogy signal is sampled regularly at uniform intervals, and each sample is quantized to the nearest value within a range of digital steps. A PCM stream has two basic properties that determine the stream’s fidelity to the original analogy signal: the sampling rate, which is the number of times per second that samples are taken; and the bit depth, which determines the number of possible digital values that can be used to represent each sample.

MODULATED SIGNALS WITH HARMONC CARRIER
In electronics and telecommunications, modulation means varying some aspect of a higher frequency continuous wave carrier signal with an information-bearing modulation waveform, such as an audio signal which represents sound, or a video signal which represents images, so the carrier will „carry” the information. When it reaches its destination, the information signal is extracted from the modulated carrier by demodulation. In amplitude modulation, the amplitude or „strength” of the carrier oscillations is what is varied. For example, in AM radio communication, a continuous wave radio-frequency signal (a sinusoidal carrier wave) has its amplitude modulated by an audio waveform before transmission.

In this work are presented the measures needed to obtain a complete rehabilitation of collective dwellings constructed between 1978 until 1989. For a complete rehabilitation it is necessary to take into account the following measures: thermal rehabilitation of the envelope, replacement of all internal installations and equipment, upgrade of heating system, the introduction of a new staircase in order to accommodate an elevator and the integration of a multifunctional space on the terrace of the last level.

A rehabilitation an intervention on a load-bearing structure, which stops the deterioration of the historic load-bearing structures, maintaining their present state: the geometrical-mechanical concept, the historic materials and the traditional construction technologies (usually the interventions on a historic load-bearing structure also entail consolidation works, not only the maintaining of the present state, thus the term the conservation of a historic load-bearing structure is rarely used).
The conservation of the historic load-bearing structures is related to: all those interventions which the present technical state of the historic load-bearing structures. It is rehabilitation measure of great importance; if it is adequately carried out, it can prevent the use of the other much more extensive and expensive measures in the long run, especially in the case of constructions with relatively constant functional parameters.
